The Special Olympics is a cherished tradition within VCUSD, emphasizing the district's commitment to inclusivity and student empowerment. Families, staff, and volunteers packed the stands and field to support the athletes, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and celebration.
“Events like this show what’s possible when we create space for every student to succeed,” VCUSD Superintendent Rubén Aurelio said. “The energy, the teamwork, the support—this is what VCUSD is all about.”
